In My Room
I'm going to resist the (very strong) urge to bitch about the hot lump of electronics on my lap to post about something more original and interesting.
Ummm ... I'm coming up blank.
Tried to go to see 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' this evening. We weren't expecting it to be sold out, yet is was even though we should have expected it, it being a Wednesday and all.
I also got my hair cut. I don't think I have had it this short for at least 4 years, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was longer. I know I'll notice it more when I next wash it, although I hadn't quite got to the weighing down stage. Bouncy.
I need a new website. When you are embassy's send sending out the link to a prospective client, you know it's time for a change. The problem is I have no idea what I want it to look like.
Sleepy now. Can't be bothered waiting for my laptop to start working again. It's taken me three days to watch this episode so far, what's one more?

Some Day
I'm having effing home hub troubles again. Ironic really, seeing as all day my laptop has been turning off, and now it's finally settled down, the homehub keeps turning off instead.
Sigh, first world problems or what?!
I've been having one of those 'why can't reality* be real' days again. Regardless of the whole rarely having to go to the loo and looking perfect everyday thing, I so want a rich man to fall for me unconditionally. Obviously I'd play it cool first, let him to a bit of chasing, and then other rich eligible men would also find me irresistible, but in the end they tell me to go to the first guy cos they know he's the right one of me. Everyone lives happily ever after. Doesn't that sound utterly unrealistic and yet so perfect? It can't all be a happy straight forward road or it'd be boring. Oh and not that it's all about the guys being rich, obviously they have to be super hot too ... And I guess nice and all that, but there is always some degree of douche factor in the male lead.
Basically, I just want a happy ending already. I'm seriously starting to think my 'one' is dead already.

EDIT: Fantasy, I want fantasy to be real. Reality is already real, much to my disappointment.

Tick Tack (Out of Time)
I was just battling with my laptop, trying to make it turn back on so I could finish watching the episode of Dream High that I was in the middle of, when I realised I have to be up in 5 hours ... it's probably supposed to be a sign or something.
I am not good at this whole getting up early crap. I never have been and doubt I ever will be. I know when I'm awake, I'm awake, but it does concern me slightly that I'll somehow fall asleep on the motorway. I know I won't, but I can't help being a pessimist. When your mum says goodbye to you like its the last one whenever you go on a journey outside our postcode, it kind of seeps through.
Anyway, I best sign off here and pretend to sleep for a couple of hours before I really sleep ... For a couple of hours. After trying to plan what to wear, I have decided I really need new clothes, so lucky in heading into a city then, is it not?

Of bbq's, networking and flirting
I warn you now, this is an iPhone post.
My sister is home for the weekend. I found out literally half an hour before she was due to arrive, when I had already made plans to go to a barbecue for the evening. Typical. Normally, because I only get to see Jo every couple of months, I try to make a special effort not to go out while she is here. But seeing as I had a prior engagement, I had to stick by it.
Lucky I did, because it ended with me getting the email address of the line producer of a popular BBC's soap opera. So if I don't get the drama job, I have something else to try! It really is about who you know in the media industry, but once you get your name out there, it can only lead to more work, which is awesome.
However, on the other hand, apparently I'm a shameless flirt. I disagree. Just because I like to mess around doesn't mean that I'm flirting. If I was drawing on girls with biro, they wouldn't think I was coming on to them, so why should guys get that impression? I don't even know how to flirt!! The whole idea is ridiculous.
I'm now feeling rather paranoid that every guy I have ever spoken to think that I'm flirting with them.
Anyway, Harry Potter is and the Goblet of Fire is on, so I'm going to watch that.
