The Manor

Yeah I missed a post. A post I actually had planned as well. But, seeing as I can't be bothered to double post tonight, you just get today's.

Went to Drayton Manor today for the first time in at least 6 years. It hasn't changed much. Same rides, same .... umm there's not much else other than rides. It was amazing how long the queues were for the kids rides as opposed to the big thrill rides. I guess today was family day and we all missed the memo.

But now, my legs ache from standing up all day, although that might be the squat challenge I just did, and I've been feeling weird and a bit sick ever since before the last ride. I have a feeling it's too much sun, not enough water, and not enough actual nutrition.

Cos, you know, I'm in my mid 20's now and these things affect old people.

I'm also starting to put on my tummy again without having the not eating thing going on, so it's back to the hoop and squats full time so I can build it up properly by the time I need it, for my sisters wedding. I'm guessing my brother in law has lots of hot, well to do farmer friends that might not mind meeting me.

Dolally

So I think my gran is pretty much dolally now.

On Thursday and Friday, noone could get in touch with her via phone. So my mum rushed over on Friday morning. Turns out she had seen a light on her alarm system attached to her phone, decided it was going to set on fire despite the fact that it was just a power light, so had cut the lines and put the box in a bucket of water. Facepalm.

Sunday, we couldn't get in touch again. This time, she had turned the phone off at the switch, again convinced it was going to set on fire. Facepalm again.

Later that day, we couldn't get in touch again, so straight off the train from London, we headed over to find that she had pulled the line, but without any memory of doing so.

Today, my mum rang up and had to explain to her step by step on how to do things as simple as call someone. For a ridiculously long time. Then later, she rang up complaining that the phone said ringing on it... Which obviously meant that that in between dialling the number and putting the phone to her head, she had lost all memory of what she had done.

It's heartbreakingly sad ... But also kind of funny.

Yawn

Ooof ... another batch of catch up posts done. Worry not, I don't think I'll need to do another batch for a while.

Seeing as I went to be quite early last night, got up late, and haven't exactly done much today, I'm absolutely shattered.

Back home now as the shoot only took a day and he wanted to get straight onto the edit. Which is fine, I totally get it. Does it mean that I wasn't gutted at leaving on Saturday rather than Monday? No.

Saw Dredd today. It was pretty good. Bit gruesome in places, but it didn't feel real enough to be too shocking.

Ok going to sleep before I start sleep posting again.

On the Red Capret

I would have loved to have told you about how the premiere was at the time, but unfortunately for me, I was in no state to blog last night ...

I finished school and bombed it down to London. I was quite worried about the timing, but made it down in record time (in under 75 mins) so I had over an hour to get ready and spend a little time with him. Which was lucky, as pretty much as soon as we met up with other people, we separated and only really saw each other again when he told me we had to leave.

It was really good. I talked to pretty much everyone, and everyone said I looked lovely but I think that's just what people say as a greeting at these sorts of things. Drinks were 4 for £10, which meant that I kept getting rounds brought for me, as well as free champagne ... And I got very drunk. Oh so drunk.

I had a lot of none too discreet conversations, and then I got towed home only to throw up in the kitchen sink ... while his parents watched ... so that was awkward.

Basically I'm feeling a lot of regret today. But I still had a lovely time, I just wish I had been able to stay longer ... and not have to get up at 6 am and drive through central London twice before heading home.

But I just had a nap so it's all good.
