Redesign

Do you think I need to revamp this blog? It’s been a long time, and while I like my blog design, I don’t know whether it’s not a little out dated. I don’t read anyone else’s blog anymore so to be fair I have no idea what the cool kids have their blogs looking like. I just feel like maybe it’s time to change. Also, I don’t think I need links to all the drama reviews down the side anymore - it seems pretty irrelevant.

I have felt pretty crap all day today, starting from late yesterday evening, when I randomly started getting weird tummy cramps. Luckily they finally seem to have stopped this evening, so I have no idea what that was all about, but going out shopping with a sqiffy tummy is no fun at all. I didn’t buy any jeans, but then again I knew that I wouldn’t as they wouldn’t have had what I wanted, but I did buy two new dresses from Seasalt and managed to walk into and out of Saltrock without buying anything, which is a first. I also managed to not go into the Cadbury shop at all, which is another first.

I’m heading home tomorrow. Agi has her operation booked in for Monday morning so I figured it’d be nicer for her to have the weekend at home to settle back in. I’m tempted to invite a boy over on the evening as we’d planned to get a takeaway, and as I won’t have got any food in yet, it seems good timing, but I also won’t have shaved my legs, so there’s that to consider too.

The one

There is always one, isn't there, that one person who can still send you a little bit giddy with an out of the blue text. Someone who can you flirt harmlessly with, someone who will boost your self confidence a little, but will ultimately disappear, but that's ok. Sometimes you get upset or annoyed, but you forget very quickly because you were never in deep enough for it to matter really. It's just nice to be reminded of the past sometimes.

Other out of the blue texts are met with disdain and suspicion, mixed with confusion and curiosity, and those never end as happily because you did get in too deep there and too many feelings got involved.

I was going to go for a walk today, do some more reminiscing, but then it was drizzly, and then it was snowy, and then it was too late. I had planned to watch Phantom of the Opera and/or Lord of the Rings, but ended up watching neither. I was also going to do some washing, which I did actually do, so that's one thing achieved at least. Now I've fallen into that time black hole where you go to bed and somehow it's 3 hours later before you actually get into bed.

One day I'm going to post without editing so you can see what my iPad thinks I'm trying to type.

A catch up

So ... um ... it's been a while. 6 weeks away in the big city and just over a week back home, and only now I decide to face the shame of my poor, neglected blog. I did not do well at documenting this last shoot.

It's a shame really, because it's not like I didn't have stuff to share. One thing is for sure, I wouldn't have struggled to come up with something to write about every day. But, alas, sleep and food took priority upon arriving back at my digs of a night, so let me sum it all up here.

Phew. 37 long and hard shooting days, each filled with sleep deprivation, stress and discontent, and yet I wouldn't have wanted to be any where else. The cast and crew were simply awesome. My bank account suffered, but it was worth every penny ... Or it will be as soon as I get every penny back. I made firm friends, met a boy, brought a dress, and even got the promise of years of paid work to come.

I did, however, live on a diet that consisted almost exclusively of salad and humous wraps on set, and pizza off set. Not that I'm complaining ... I have had cravings for wraps and eaten pizza at least 3 times in the past week.

What else to tell?

The boy is a boy, but I like him. As in, I haven't even started talking myself out of it yet, which is new. We're still just taking it as it comes. I'm a little scared that if we label it, I'll freak and run, and I don't want that. Hmm we'll see ... I'll keep you posted.

I did my huge room sort out as soon as I got back, and now half of my wardrobe is destined for eBay - well, what my sister didn't poach anyway. I keep it lovely, putting the cushions on my bed and lighting my candle, and it's lovely. As soon as we have completely emptied my sisters old room, I can set up my work room in the extension, and get started on setting up my business!

So things are starting to come together ... Now I just need fate to stop fucking over my family's personal lives.
