I missed my 700th post. 700, that’s crazy.
Sure, a good portion of them are from 2012 and 2013 when I was attempting to blog every day, and I imagine the majority of the posts in previous years are some form of BEDA - remember when that was a thing?
It’s also been 8 years. So much has changed in that time. My strongest desire back then was to make it in the film industry, and to go on a 10 day tour of Egypt. Korea had yet to pique my attention, and I was only just starting to rediscover my childhood cartoons that would lead me to Japanese media. My music tastes were based on Harry Potter and Lost, I wrote a book every November and I was trying to make a quick buck by doing online surveys. I was still making and breaking the same old New Years resolutions though, so not everything is different. I love reading through old posts.

I watched Baby and I last night, but seeing as it was just a film and nothing particularly amazing, I don't feel the need to do a whole post on it. It was good and I enjoyed it, but I did expect more comedy and less drama. I laughed and I cried, but I mostly felt that a lot of opportunities were missed, such as any real development of relationship between the baby and his unprepared high school father. I have a feeling it is only so high up in the ranking because of Jang Geun Suk, and I can't say I am surprised, he was really cute in this.
Next up is Goong, a well known slightly older series (as in pre 2010) that is pretty much a Cinderella story from the sound of it.
This evening I had the girls around to watch the first episode of the drama I worked on last autumn. It's so hard to believe that it will be a whole year since I got that job in a few weeks time. Everyone dressed up and they rolled out a red (wallpaper) carpet outside my house so that all the neighbours can think that I'm a lunatic.
Actually, now that I think about it, my neighbours have been witness to a fair few random events over the past 8 years*. Cardboard cut outs of real and painted people, fairy tents, banners, random notes, and now red carpet. It only seems note worthy because we never talk to them to explain things, so God knows what they think its all about. They may have also heard the screams when Miffy saw my father naked, so that can only help their preconceptions.
In other news, I just drank a bucket of tea and now I'm pretty sure I'll be up all night, for more than one reason. Aces.
